Sauce
1 tablespoon chilli oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar

Bring the water to a boil in a medium pot.
Carefully add the tofu cake, reduce the heat and simmer for 4minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
Alternatively, place the tofu in a steamer and steam for 4 minutes.
Mix all the Sauce ingredients well and set aside.
Place the garlic, ginger, and spring onions in a bowl. Pour the Sauce onto the garlic, ginger and spring onions and blend well.
Place the tofu in the center of a small serving dish. Make 4 cuts across the top of thetofu in both directions, cutting no more than halfway deep.
Drizzle the Sauce mixture evenly over the tofu and serve.
